On Saturday, April 2, 2022, at approximately 3:21 p.m., Investigators with the Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) and Officers with the Turlock Police Department arrested 20 year-old Turlock resident Noel Nazar-Pour in the 2900 block of Crowell Road.  The arrest and search warrant at Nazar-Pour’s residence in the 2700 block of Meadowbrook Lane was part of a months-long investigation into firearms trafficking by Turlock Police S.I.U.

S.I.U. Investigator Jake Young said, “We want to thank our federal partners with the Central Valley Gang Impact Task Force (C.V.G.I.T) for their continued support with these complex investigations.”

Six fully assembled manufactured “Ghost Guns,” four manufactured “Ghost Guns” (not assembled) and one AK-47 assault weapon were seized in connection with this investigation.  An additional firearm was seized along with illegal narcotics, illegal firearms paraphernalia, a large amount of ammunition, and over $1,000 in cash.

A “Ghost Gun” is a term used by law enforcement which refers to individually manufactured firearms, which have not been legally registered and do not have a serial number affixed to them.

Noel Nazar-Pour was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on 14 felony charges related to firearms possession, firearms manufacturing, firearms sales and narcotics possession.

Turlock Police Department S.I.U. Investigator Jake Young said, “This type of illegal firearms manufacturing operation poses a clear danger to our community.  Our Police Department is working very hard to keep these firearms off our streets and out of the hands of criminals.”
