Why are garage sale permits required?

Garage sale permits are required by the City of Turlock to preserve the quality of life in and around our neighborhoods.

How many garage sale permits may I have?

Residents are limited to two garage sales in one calendar year (per Municipal Code 3-1-804) and enforced by the Neighborhood Preservation Team.

How much does a garage sale permit cost?

The fee for a garage sale permit is $15.00.

How long is the garage sale permit valid?

A garage sale permit is good for 3 consecutive days or 2 consecutive weekends.

Where do I obtain a garage sale permit?

Garage sale permits are obtained at 144 S. Broadway, in the Recreation Division. A drivers license or ID is required.
