This training program is designed for those interested in learning how to respond in an aquatic emergency. This class serves as a foundation for further training and employment in lifeguarding and aquatics. This is a great opportunity for those individuals interested in working towards becoming a certified lifeguard.

Youth 8 – 14 years can learn the components to the game of water polo. Camps and leagues are offered to provide instruction on "egg beater" kicking, passing, shooting and blocking techniques, as well as game strategies. This program will provide participants with a unique opportunity to learn necessary skills from trained coaches and competitive Water Polo athletes.

Every child should learn to swim and develop water safety skills. City of Turlock swim lessons are available for ages infant – adults to teach water safety skills and stroke development. Classes are offered throughout the summer for a two week sessions, Monday – Thursdays.

Aquatic Camps are designed for youth 8 – 12 years to teach swimming techniques in a camp atmosphere. Programs are designed to help refine strokes, teach starts and turns and build endurance. Requirement: Must have passed, or have passed the equivalent of, City of Turlock level II swim lessons.

Regular physical activity has been associated with better health and a longer life. Lap swimming offers many benefits for anyone interested in losing weight or staying in shape. Water offers high resistance and low impact workouts perfect for every body type.

Turlock Recreation offers many hours of family Recreation swim daily throughout Turlock. Recreation Swim is supervised by certified California Lifeguards who provide a safe and fun environment to swim and keep cool during the summer.
