Turlock Police and Fire Pipe Band

The Turlock Police and Fire Pipe Band emerged in 2008 with the goal of bringing a time honored tradition to department and community events and to enhance the professional image of the Turlock Police and Fire Departments. The inspiring sound of the bag pipes and drums adds an element of pride and tradition often associated with those who protect and serve our community. This unique partnership is made up of several talented musicians. This special group hopes to become a fixture in the community by providing their services to a multitude of organizations for a variety of events. Parades, memorials, and festivals are only a fraction of the events the organization hopes to participate in.

New Members

We are actively recruiting new members who are interested in participating in the pipe band. Experience is great, but not necessary. For more information please send an email to music@tpfpb.org.

Band Leader

The band is led by our very talented music director Tom Robinson. Tom has been with several award winning bands in Canada and brings his expertise to Turlock. Below are some of Tom’s accomplishments:

• World Champion in Music for best professional band 1987
• Several Canadian Championships in music
• Several Ontario Championships
• US Open Champion
• North American champion as an individual performer and several in bands
• Several Champion Supreme awards (most accumulated points in one year) as a band and one as a professional soloist
