Housing Program Services

With funding from the Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), City of Turlock/Stanislaus County Home Consortia, State of California HOME Program, and the City of Turlock Redevelopment Agency (TRDA) "Housing Set Aside" fund, the Housing Program Services Division is able to provide a wide variety of housing services.

NEW! 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan and 2010-11 Annual Action Plan Available for Public Review

The 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan identifies how the City of Turlock will utilize its federal Housing and Urban Development funds to address the housing needs of the City of Turlock over a five-year period. The Consolidated Plan shows how the City of Turlock will use Community Development Block Grant funds as well how the HOME Consortium consisting of the City of Turlock, the County of Stanislaus, and the cities of Ceres, Patterson, Oakdale, Newman, and Waterford will use HOME funds. The City is required to provide 30 days for public comment on the proposed amendment. A public hearing is scheduled on June 22, 2010, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Yosemite Conference Room located on the 2nd floor at 156 South Broadway, Turlock (City Hall). All are welcome to attend this meeting to provide comments. Comments on the proposed Plan are due by 5:00 p.m. on June 22, 2010.

AB 987 – Low to Moderate Income Housing Fund: Affordability Covenants and Restrictions

In October 2007, the Governor signed AB 987 making it effective as of January 1, 2008. One of the requirements of AB 987 is for redevelopment agencies to compile, maintain, and make available to the public a database of existing, new and substantially rehabilitated income restricted units developed or otherwise assisted with moneys from the Low and Moderate Income Housing fund. The database must be located on the internet and updated on an annual basis. Please note that housing units created or rehabilitated for victims of domestic violence will be excluded from the public database.
