The City of Turlock is accepting applications for the position of Housing Rehabilitation Specialist I. This individual will provide professional and technical assistance to property owners participating in the City of Turlock and the Turlock/Stanislaus County HOME Consortium Housing Rehabilitation Program related to construction and rehabilitation of property. In addition, the incumbent will perform other related work as required. All applications must be received by 8/28/15 at 5:00 p.m.

New Public Works Contractor Registration Law [Senate Bill 854]

Beginning April 1, 2015, prime contractors and subcontractors bidding on public works projects will be required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Prime contractors and subcontractors will be required to submit certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner using DIRís new data-driven electronic Certified Payroll Record (eCPR) reporting system. (DIR expects to have Phase I of this system deployed by early May of 2015. Contractors will be able input CPR data directly onto an online form or do a mass upload using an xml schema flat file.). The work consists, in general of: mobilization, removal of existing improvements, installing catch basins and storm pipe, installing curb, gutter, sidewalk, and driveway approaches, installing ornamental bollards, installing aggregate base and HMA, erosion control, landscaping and irrigation, striping and signage, and other associated work. The work includes all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and any incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans.

The City of Turlock (City) is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional wastewater treatment design and suitable construction bidding services for the City. The qualified firm shall design and provide construction drawings and specifications for a secondary clarifier and related appurtences for the Cityís Regional Water Quality Control Facility (hereinafter referred to as RWQCF) and evaluate the most current technology applicable in order to provide a state of the art secondary clarifier.
