Printed copies of the plans and specifications may also be purchased by written request to, or in-person at, the Office of the City Engineer. Contact information is shown to the right. The California Department of Transportation is offering, through the California Construction Contracting Program (CCCP), free training, counseling, and resources in order to assist small businesses to successfully bid and win Caltrans and Local agency construction contracts.

New Public Works Contractor Registration Law [Senate Bill 854]

Beginning April 1, 2015, prime contractors and subcontractors bidding on public works projects will be required to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Prime contractors and subcontractors will be required to submit certified payroll records to the Labor Commissioner using DIR’s new data-driven electronic Certified Payroll Record (eCPR) reporting system. (DIR expects to have Phase I of this system deployed by early May of 2015. Contractors will be able input CPR data directly onto an online form or do a mass upload using an xml schema flat file.). The work consists, in general, of: Mobilization and demobilization, temporary traffic control plan, implement best management practices, demo and remove existing improvements, earthwork, install sewer pipe (4"), install sewer pipe (8"), install sewer service lateral, 48" manhole, cleanout (4"), adjust frame and covers to grade, construct minor concrete (curb and gutter), construct minor concrete (sidewalk), construct access ramp, construct commercial driveway approach, construct tree well and furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals needed to perform the improvements as shown on the contract plans complete and in place. This work shall be completed in accordance with the Standard Specifications, standard Drawings and these Special Provisions.
