Redevelopment Projects

Current Projects

Replacement and upgrade of Fire Station No. 1.

Rehabilitation of the Carnegie Arts Center.

Installation and upgrade of sewer, water and storm drainage facilities and other public facilities to implement the Westside Industrial Specific Plan.

20% of Redevelopment funds are dedicated to aiding in providing affordable housing. The Housing division uses the 20% funds to support a number of valuable programs such as the Mobile Home Park Rental Subsidy Program, Cold Weather Homeless Shelter Program, the Palm Apartment Covenants, the Linwood Avenue Project and many more. Anticipated Future Projects

Acquisition of rights of way for improvement of the interchange at Fulkherth Road and State Route 99.

Improvement and upgrade of the Yerby Pool and Center.

Various public facilities upgrades at the War Memorial, the Youth Center, Sunnyview Park and the Chamber Building in Central Park.

Upgrade and modernization of second floors in buildings in the Downtown area.

Acquisition of property for a parking and/or transit center in the Downtown area.

Improvements and landscaping of Community entryways (throughout Golden State Boulevard and at West Main Street and Washington Road).

Upgrade of streets, curbs, sidewalks and other public facilities in the unincorporated County areas within the Project Area.
