Animal Services
The Animal Services Unit works diligently to serve the public and animals of the City of Turlock in a professional and efficient manner with kindness and compassion. The staff is dedicated to providing education, protection, and the humane treatment of animals in order to insure a safe and healthy community and to promote the benefits of responsible pet ownership.

The Animal Shelter is located at 801 S. Walnut. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, and closed Sundays and holidays. You can reach us by phone at (209) 656-3140.

For emergencies regarding aggressive, sick or injured animals, please call the Turlock Police Department at (209) 668-1200.

Ferrets are illegal in California, however we do come across them in our community. This sweet little girl was found running at a park in Turlock. She is headed to a rescue in Oregon. Safe and Sound.
